There are 5 options under Screen lock type: Swipe, Pattern, PIN, Password, and None. Both Swipe and Note offers no protection at all and they don’t require setting up.

The lesson: If you use a pattern, switch to a six-digit PIN, or at least turn off those pattern feedback lines. It may be less convenient, but it beats peering over your shoulder with every unlock.
