The idea is that teaching kids to code will make them employable ... must either “program or be programmed” and that a few rich companies want more programmers—which is not terribly persuasive.

But if you’d dabbled in programming, not only would you have had the skills ... in the workplace—places where a little bit of code can make you much better at your job.
