The Air India Express Flight from Tiruchirapalli to Sharjah landed safely after circling for two hours on Friday.

Air India Express Flight 613, which departed from Tiruchirapalli at 5:30pm, encountered an issue with its landing gear.

Previously it was reported that the flight experienced a technical problem (hydraulic failure) and was circling in the air to burn off fuel before it could make the landing attempt at Trichy airport,

The aircraft had to circle the airspace above Trichy to burn off excess fuel before attempting to land back at the Tiruchirapalli airport.

Trichy Airport was on high alert as Air India Express flight AXB613 detected an issue with the landing gear mid-air which prompted the aircraft to go in circuit pattern (circles) around the airport. The flight safely landed around 8.
