I tend to think of it as the difference between a script and a play. A script doesn't become a play in my book until it's been transmuted through the collaborative fire of production.

There isn't a massive difference between your screenplay and "shooting script." It simply means production has turned what was primarily a story blueprint into something that helps all departments.
