Areas of dense fog and sub-freezing temperatures have prompted a FREEZING FOG ADVISORY into Saturday morning for much of Green Country.

"The threat has ended," says the National Weather Service.

The advisory was for Western Chester, Eastern Chester, Western Montgomery, Eastern Montgomery, Upper Bucks and Lower Bucks.

While temperatures will warm up by mid-morning, refreezing remains a concern, particularly north of the Metroplex.

Though freezing fog can cause beautiful rime ice, it can also create extra hazards during a winter storm like the one approaching WNC.

But temperatures in the upper 20s along with leftover moisture and freezing fog will keep the black ice issues going. The sunshine we had all day Wednesday gave us high temps in the upper 40s.
