The first Black international chess grandmaster, Maurice Ashley, visited St. Richard’s Episcopal School Students last week.

Chess Is for Black Girls is breaking barriers in a male-dominated sport, creating opportunities for young Black girls to excel in chess through lessons, mentorship, and community support.
