Democrats on the Senate Homeland Security Committee pressed Kristi Noem, President-elect Trump’s nominee for secretary of Homeland Security, on whether she would apply conditions to or withhold

The hearing was scheduled for Wednesday. It’s now postponed to 9 a.m. Eastern time on Friday (10 a.m. central time). South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem is having her hearing to become the next Homeland Security Secretary pushed back from Wednesday to Friday. According to a committee aide, the FBI has yet to complete its portion of her paperwork.

Standing Rock Chairwoman Janet Alkire endorsed Noem's appointment as the Secretary of Homeland Security, aiming to create new avenues for the tribe. Noem is still banned from Standing Rock.
