Ottawa Senators goaltender Linus Ullmark has been sidelined for over a month with a back injury. He left a game against the Edmonton Oilers on Dec. 22 and has been out of action ever since.

Ottawa Senators goaltender Linus Ullmark is progressing with his back injury but there is still no timetable for his return, according to president of hockey operations and general manager Steve Staios.

Linus Ullmark traveled with the Senators for their three-game road trip that begins Sunday at the New Jersey Devils (1 p.m. ET; NHLN, RDS, TSN5, MSGSN). "He's coming on the road. ... We're still day by day,” coach Travis Green said of Ullmark following a 6-5 shootout win against the Boston Bruins on Saturday.

Korpisalo, who was sent to the Bruins in the deal that brought Linus Ullmark to Ottawa, has shown marked improvement in Boston. He has an 8-4-2 record with the Bruins, a .892 save percentage, and a 2.47 goals-against average.

Joonas Korpisalo had his third shutout of the season and seventh overall. He was traded to Boston in June in a deal for former Vezina Trophy winner Linus Ullmark.
