The bill of indictment was filed on Tuesday. Police said DoorDash driver Keshawn Boyd told them that he shot and killed 15-year-old Matthias Crockett on Jan. 22 off Graham Street in Uptown.

Police said Keshawn Boyd, 28, shot Matthias Crockett, 15, when the teen was found inside his running car.

Keshawn Tyree Boyd, 27, allegedly shot Matthias Crockett, 15, near the 400 block of West 8th Street in the uptown area at 6:46 p.m., documents said.

CMPD is charging Keshawn Boyd with first-degree murder for the killing of 15-year-old Matthias Crockett in the 400 block of 8th Street.

Police identified the teen as Matthias Crockett, 15, and identified Keshawn Boyd, 27, as the shooter on Friday. Boyd made his first appearance in court with his public defender on Thursday.
