Poland and Ukraine have exchanged lists of sites for the exhumation of remains linked to historical conflicts between the two nations, signaling a positive step toward resolving long-standing disputes,

"I would like to thank the ministers of culture of Poland and Ukraine for their good cooperation. We are waiting for further decisions," Donald Tusk wrote in a post on X.

Andrii Sybiha, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, has praised the agreement between Kyiv and Warsaw on the exhumation of the victims of the Volyn tragedy. [The Volyn (Volhynia) tragedy was a series of events that led to the ethnic cleansing of the Polish and Ukrainian populations in 1943 during World War II.
