COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — A 57-year-old man died Sunday after he was struck by a weight from a weight throw event that cleared a certified barrier during a track and field event at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs. The El Paso County Coroner's Office identified the man as Wade Langston.

COLORADO SPRINGS — A spectator was struck in the head and killed by an athlete's hammer throw during a high school track and field meet hosted on the UCCS campus. This occurred at approximately 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, at the Mountain Lion Fieldhouse at UCCS.
