Federal inmate sentenced for killing his cellmate in Terre Haute Federal Correctional Complex
An inmate held at the Federal Correctional Complex, in Terre Haute, has been sentenced to life in prison after admitting to stabbing his cellmate 43 times, leading to their death, according to the United States Attorney's Office Southern District of Indiana.

The murder, which prosecutors called "brutal," happened on Jan. 12, 2019. Both inmates were being housed in the Special Housing Unit at the Federal Correctional Complex. Taylor was put in a cell with 36-year-old Jan Stevens for just three days before the murder.
