Speedrunners are already tearing The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom apart, as at least one streamer has beaten the game in less than an hour.

The release of The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom marked the first time that longtime Nintendo executive Shigeru Miyamoto was not featured in the credits of a Zelda game. The discovery was shared on social media alongside a list of how many developers contributed to Echoes of Wisdom.

gymnast86 posted a 59-minute run yesterday, which was swiftly topped by Twitch streamer OnakuTV , who polished off the grand finale in an eye-watering 52 minutes and 51 seconds. What's more, in the latter run, the streamer confessed that a sub-50-minute time is very much on the cards — just look at what's been achieved in under a week!

The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom features an eye-opening glitch that lets you teleport to the game's final boss, allowing speedrunners to beat the whole adventure in under an hour. The exploit, which warps protagonist Zelda to Echoes of Wisdom's final dungeon, skips the vast majority of the new Nintendo Switch game.
