The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission is moving forward with plans to redesign the Breezewood interchange in Bedford County to provide motorists with a direct link between the turnpike and Interstate 70 to Maryland.

Currently, drivers must exit the PA Turnpike and detour over a commercially developed quarter-mile section of Route 30 with two traffic lights to access I-70 in Breezewood.
