A scaffolding collapse in Manhattan injured three people, one of them critically, on Monday. The Department of Buildings said it’s on the scene of a sidewalk shed collapse which may have come after a box truck hit a structure on 29th Street near Eighth Avenue in Chelsea around 8 a.

Three people were injured, including one critically, when a box truck rammed into a scaffolding on a Manhattan sidewalk Monday morning, police said. The scaffolding collapsed after a 62-year-old driver crashed into a sidewalk shed near 245 West 29th St.

Investigators are still reviewing the Chelsea incident, but video obtained by Gothamist shows the scaffolding collapsed as a box truck parked on the street started to move forward.
