The Hawks-Rockets game is only one of three NBA games to be postponed Saturday. The Los Angeles Lakers-San Antonio Spurs bout, along with the Los Angeles Clippers-Charlotte Hornets game, have both been postponed as well due to the fires in the Los Angeles area.

The Rockets’ game on Saturday vs. the Hawks was postponed “due to the severe weather and hazardous icy conditions in the Atlanta area," the NBA announced.

ATLANTA — The game between the Houston Rockets and Atlanta Hawks scheduled for Saturday has been postponed because of a winter storm. The NBA said the decision was made “to prioritize the safety of the players, fans and staff due to the severe weather and hazardous icy conditions in the Atlanta area.”

Per ESPN’s Shams Charania, the NBA has postponed Saturday afternoon matchup between the Rockets and Hawks due to severe weather and hazardous icy conditions. The Rockets contest now marks the fourth game canceled this week,

The Phoenix Suns (16-19) begin their first of a three-game homestand against the Atlanta Hawks (19-18) on Thursday.

The Houston Rockets are taking their three-game winning streak to Atlanta for a Saturday afternoon matinee against the Hawks. It’s an early start time and comes basically at the same time as the Houston Texans playoff game against the Los Angeles Chargers.
