Chavez is the first McDonald's All-American from the South Plains since Seagraves' Darrice Griffin made it in 2004. Chavez, the No. 1-rated recruit in the 2025 class, is averaging 35.7 points, 9.5 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 3.7 steals and 1.1 blocks.
