A new-born baby girl's life was saved after surgeons in Krakow, Poland, used a 3D replica of her underdeveloped skull to visualise how to operate on the bone defect that left her brain exposed.

This week paleontologists at a Colorado dinosaur center unveiled a 3D model of the skull of a teratophoneus curriei. That's a rare new genus of tyrannosaur.
