During a cold snap in Chicago, there's no better place to be than inside with unfinished pottery that's ready for paint and to be the canvas for the wonderment of real-life inspiration.

The Cleveland Metroparks Zoo announced Tuesday that a sloth bear cub was born back in December. The unnamed female cub weighed 16 ounces at birth and spent time bonding with her mother Shiva.

Two sloth bear cubs born at the San Diego Zoo in late 2024 made their first public appearance on Thursday. The zoo shared a clip of the cubs emerging from their private den with their mother Shala.

Hunker down with some paint and some sloths and … just have fun ... ready for paint and to be the canvas for the wonderment of real-life inspiration. "It’s too cold," Mary Hyland said.
