Russian President Vladimir Putin has thanked world leaders, including US President Donald Trump and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for their "noble mission" to end the fighting between Ukraine and Russia,

Russian President Putin expressed reservations about a proposed 30-day ceasefire in Ukraine, acknowledging it as a good initiative but emphasizing the need for further discussions on details before reaching an agreement.

Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday acknowledged Washington’s proposal for a 30-day ceasefire in Ukraine but said that while he supports the idea in principle, “there are nuances” and “serious questions” about its implementation.

The Ukrainian President alleged that Putin was “afraid” to tell US President Donald Trump that he wanted to continue the war and “keep killing Ukrainians.”

The US-proposed ceasefire deal was first accepted by Ukraine on March 11, after it expressed willingness to accept the same post the US-Ukraine peace talks in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
