Sarah Burton is legendary for her work leading Alexander McQueen after the latter's death. On March 7, she showed her first collection for Givenchy.

Givenchy’s new creative director has debuted in one of Paris Fashion Week’s most anticipated moments and a long-awaited reset for a house that, in recent years, has struggled to find its footing.

The women’s ready-to-wear show for autumn/winter 2025-26 helped kick off a killer list of Friday shows at Paris Fashion Week (March 3-11), including Issey Miyake, Kenzo and Victoria Beckham. The show took place at the opulent Givenchy House, the brand’s headquarters, in Paris.

In Paris this week, those designers were Haider Ackermann at Tom Ford; Julian Klausner, the righthand to Dries Van Noten who now leads the label following Van Noten’s retirement last year; and Sarah Burton, the longtime McQueen designer who is now at Givenchy.

Top models Alex Consani and Eva Herzigová, along with Gwendoline Christie, Kit Connor, and Ryan Destiny turned out to celebrate Burton’s arrival.
