A Nov. 1 fire damaged the span nicknamed the Big Mac bridge for its yellow arches — the easternmost of five bridges that carry vehicle traffic over the Ohio River near downtown Cincinnati.
While the closure has been a headache for drivers who go over the river as part of their daily commute, the reopening of lanes is music to the ears of Northern Kentucky business owners.
The Ohio approach to the Big Mac Bridge, which was damaged by a large outdoor fire in November, recently got both its concrete pours and is on track to open in March. Details here.
