In January, the first major snow event of the year, temperatures were higher and the snow accumulation was over two times the amount this time around. Streets were still covered in snow, but because the area never experienced ice or extremely low temperatures, the City of Memphis road crews were able to clear roadways much easier.

During a press conference Tuesday afternoon, multiple city officials explained their plan for dealing with this week's winter storm.
