Ash Wednesday 2024 fell on Valentine’s Day, Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2024. This year, Ash Wednesday and the start of Lent fall in March, almost a full month later. Here’s when Ash Wednesday, Lent, Good Friday and Easter 2025 are and why the dates they fall on change every year.

However, Easter falls much later than usual this year. While the holiday sometimes comes in March, it can take place anywhere from March 22 through April 25, and this year, it falls closer to the latter.
