Railway authorities of Ratlam division have instructed local officials to intensify monitoring of railway tracks between Indore and Mhow.

The timely detection of a crack on the railway tracks in Kalyan averted an accident while the Indrayani Express was approaching on Tuesday morning.

In a first for India, authorities have decided to install automatic rail track fracture detection system across the 508 km bullet train project connecting Mumbai and Ahmedabad to prevent accidents.
