Recalled supplemental shakes were distributed to hospitals and long-term care facilities nationwide, federal officials say.

The death toll related to the shakes is even higher than the one last year that resulted from listeria-tainted deli meats produced by Boar’s Head. Ten people died and 57 were sickened in what was called the largest outbreak of listeriosis since 2011.

The frozen supplemental drinks have been linked to an outbreak of listeria that has killed at least 11 people and hospitalized 37.
