Learn and revise motion in a straight line, acceleration and motion graphs with BBC Bitesize Combined Science AQA Synergy study guide.
Learn the difference between distance, displacement, speed and velocity, and how to calculate distance, speed and acceleration.
On this graph, the x-axis represents time (t), and the y-axis represents velocity (v). The slope of the line at any given point illustrates the acceleration of an object at that point in time, while ...
This says that the acceleration will be the slope of the velocity-time graph and the velocity will be the slope of the position-time graph. But in this case we are going backwards.
But if you calculate the acceleration without the graph, you are explicitly stating that the y-intercept is zero---which it might not be. So there are some actual reasons for making a graph.

Acceleration is the ‘rate of change of velocity per unit of time’. This is usually assessed with a test such as a 10m sprint and is measured in ms−2. In simple terms, this is how quickly you can ...
Background: To investigate whether a real-time visual feedback device could improve the quality of chest compression (CC), and, if so, whether the mechanism is associated with dynamic indexes such as ...
