A patient attacked two staff members at Provident Hospital of Cook County in Chicago's Bronzeville neighborhood Monday afternoon.The hospital, at 500 E. 51st St., said two staffers were injured by the patient in the emergency department.

Police say a man stabbed two workers about 1 p.m. Monday at the Bronzeville hospital. The victims were both in stable condition, a hospital spokesperson told the Sun-Times. The alleged assailant was taken into custody.
