Police officers expect about a million people to take over 15 blocks and surround seven stages during The Calle Ocho Music Festival on Sunday in Miami’s Little Havana.

The Kiwanis Club of Little Havana’s Carnaval Miami has come to define Miami in a way few festive events can manage. Since its founding in 1978, the multi-event party has celebrated Hispanic culture. The annual festival draws more than a million people to the streets of Little Havana for the closing Calle Ocho Street Festival event.

The Latin music phenom born José Ángel López Martínez hit it big at the ripe age of 16 with his breakup anthem “Ahora Estoy Mejor.” The track went way viral, generating more than 500,000 views in practically no time. Wheeler’s already earned two Latin Grammys in 2021 for “Best Reggaeton Performance” and “Best Urban Song” for “La Curiosidad.”
