The Los Angeles Lakers have made it clear that their focus is on the future by prioritizing Luka Doncic arrival. This shift could open the door for young players like Bronny James, LeBron James’ son.

After LeBron James dominated the Knicks and MSG again Saturday night in a 128-112 Lakers win, much of the talk surrounded his son, Bronny.

Because he's LeBron James's son, though, Bronny was a topic on First Take on Wednesday, providing the opportunity for Stephen A. Smith to make a fatherly request.

Bronny James struggled in the most playing time he has received in his NBA career. Bronny was scoreless for the Lakers in their 118-104 loss to Philadelphia on Tuesday night.

As the younger James was checking in, LeBron James checked out and started walking to the bench before greeting his son with a handshake.
