In a joint announcement Thursday with the International Basketball Federation (FIBA), NBA commissioner Adam Silver announced the “exploration” of a new men’s basketball league in Europe. Silver and FIBA Secretary General Andreas Zagklis met with reporters in the afternoon after briefing NBA owners at this week’s Board of Governors meetings.

The NBA just can't settle on an All-Star format. The Elam Ending came and went. The East vs. West format has been axed twice now with a player draft held in between those two runs. This season, the NBA tried something new.

The NBA will scrap its mini-tournament format for the All-Star Game and go back to the drawing board in a search for new ideas, according to Tim Reynolds of The Associated Press.
