On Tuesday at 4:05 a.m. the NWS Las Vegas NV issued a winter storm watch valid from Wednesday 5 a.m. until Thursday 11 p.m. for Eastern Sierra Slopes of Inyo County.

Yosemite is the focus of an updated winter storm watch issued at 4:31 a.m. on Monday by the National Weather Service. The watch is valid from Tuesday 11 p.m. until Thursday, Mar. 13 at 11 p.m.

The NWS said: “Total snow accumulations between 4 and 7 inches possible across Beaver Island and Emmet, Cheboygan, and Presque Isle counties; 6 to 9 inches of snow possible across all of Mackinac and Chippewa counties, including Drummond, Mackinac, and Bois Blanc islands. Wind gusts up to 30 mph can lead to blowing and drifting snow.”
