Union Berlin have appointed Steffen Baumgart to become their new manager, the Bundesliga club said on Monday, after the German capital side parted ways with Bo Svensson last week.

Steffen Baumgart has been appointed coach of struggling Bundesliga club Union Berlin, where he spent two years of his playing career. Union said on Monday that Baumgart succeeds Bo Svensson who had to go on Friday after the team failed to register a victory in nine games across all competitions and has slipped to 12th in the Bundesliga.

FC Union Berlin have officially confirmed Steffen Baumgart as their new head coach. The former Hamburger SV coach replaces Bo Svensson, who was recently relieved of his duties. “We chose
