The Legend of Lara Croft picks up after the events of the highly successful Tomb Raider video game Survivor trilogy (Tomb Raider; Rise of the Tomb Raider; Shadow of the Tomb Raider), and will chart the globetrotting heroine’s next chapter as the iconic adventurer.

Never believe what your parents told you: playing video games can be good for you. Case in point is Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft showrunner Tasha Huo revealing how she got a job on the upcoming Netflix series thanks to "relentlessly" tweeting about her progress on 2018's Shadow of the Tomb Raider.

"We need a new plan..." Netflix has debuted the main official trailer for their animated series called Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft, based on the video games (not the movies). It's finally available for streaming in a few more weeks.

"The series continues right after the events of the Survivor trilogy of video games — Tomb Raider, Rise of the Tomb Raider, and Shadow of the Tomb Raider — and finds Lara (voiced by Hayley Atwell) abandoning her friends to embark on increasingly more perilous solo adventures.

The series is set after the events of the Tomb Raider "Survivor" trilogy of games which finished with Shadow of the Tomb Raider. In the trailer, we see Lara (voiced by Hayley Atwell) surrounded by enemies and allies and on various quests through the ancient chambers she so often frequents, dual pistols out.
