The Texas Longhorns sat and watched during their bye week as chaos ensued for a handful of ranked teams on Saturday. Once the dust settled and the Week 11 AP Poll was released, the Longhorns had moved up.

Texas is helped by the return of Vanderbilt to the Top 25 at 25th in the AFCA Poll after beating Auburn. The Longhorns edged the Commodores 27-24 in their last game, giving them their lone win over a Top 25 team. Vandy is not ranked in the AP Poll.

The University of Texas at Austin shifted from sixth up to fifth place in the Associated Press' Top 25 College Football Poll. The Week 11 poll was released on Nov. 3, placing the Oregon Ducks at No. 1, followed by the Georgia Bulldogs, Ohio State Buckeyes and Miami Hurricanes.

Another significant change took place in the top five. Texas beat a ranked Vanderbilt team 27-24 in Nashville, and it seems the game was too close for some voters. Miami, which smacked Florida State 36-14, leapfrogged the Longhorns to climg into the top five.

Texas A&M (7-2, 5-1 SEC) is no longer undefeated in SEC play. However, the Aggies still have plenty of goals to accomplish heading into the bye week after falling to South Carolina 44-20 on Saturday night.

After beating LSU, Texas A&M is in top 10 for first time since September of 2022. Texas, which beat Vanderbilt, is sixth.

The Longhorns jumped one spot to No. 5 following the Nittany Lions' 20-13 loss to the Buckeyes. Penn State dropped from No. 3 to No. 6, and Ohio State, Miami, and Texas moved up a spot. Oregon remained No.
