Longtime San Antonio Spurs coach Gregg Popovich, who experienced an undisclosed health issue over the weekend, will not be with the team for upcoming games in Los Angeles and Houston, the Spurs announced Monday.

San Antonio Spurs interim coach Mitch Johnson provided a statement before addressing the media Monday at Intuit Dome that highlighted Gregg Popovich's "impact on our organization" on the heels of what the team announced would be an indefinite absence after suffering a health issue Saturday at the Frost Bank Center.

Wembanyama has been uneven to begin his second NBA season, and Popovich is out indefinitely following an unspecified health incident.
