The Pennsylvania Game Commission is closing some areas of Middle Creek Wildlife Management Area in Lancaster and Lebanon counties starting Feb. 4 due to bird flu.

Middle Creek was designed as a stopover for waterfowl, including snow geese, in the 1970s. An egg farm in the Lehigh Valley and another in Dauphin County have tested positive for avian influenza this year, and eight poultry farms on Delmarva have tested positive.
