A feel-good Zachary Levi movie that is critically and commercially underperforming debuts with a glowing audience score on Rotten Tomatoes.

The thing about separating the art from the artist is that people are typically a lot more inclined to do so if the “art” isn’t a generic piece of faith-based schlock, and the “artist” hasn’t made a variety of disqualifying comments that pertain directly to the subject of their latest film.

"The Unbreakable Boy" was completed three years ago, and that means the Zachary Levi we see in this movie is closer to the brightly grinning earnest man-child who was so appealing in the first "Shazam!
