Lip-Bu Tan’s base salary for the top post at the chip maker is $1 million a year, compared with the $1.25 million Pat Gelsinger received. The differences don’t end there.

Interestingly, this isn't Lip-Bu Tan’s first association with Intel. He joined the company’s Board of Directors in 2022, providing strategic guidance before stepping down in 2024.

U.S. chipmaker Intel's new CEO Lip-Bu Tan will receive an initial base salary of $1 million, the company said in a regulatory filing on Friday. Tan, who will take charge on March 18, will also be eligible for an annual cash bonus with a target payout of 200% of his base salary.
