Dyson has announced the launch of its Supersonic r hair dryer to the public. Previously, the Supersonic r was only available to professional hair stylists, but the hair dryer will launch in the UK from 2nd April for £449.

The new launch has been described as Dyson’s most powerful and lightweight hair dryer yet. Setting it apart from the other tools in the range, the pro hair dryer boasts a unique “r” design, making it 20 per cent smaller and 30 per cent lighter than the original supersonic, adding to its user-friendly appeal.

The latest design is the Dyson Supersonic Nural Hair Dryer £299 (was £399) and currently on sale at Boots with £100 off. It comes in the must-have colour strawberry bronze and pink blush. Whilst the original grey with fluorescent pink accents was cute but the bronze and pink colour is by far my favourite.

Since its launch just over a year ago, Dyson’s upgraded Supersonic r hairdryer has only been available for purchase by salons and professional stylists. But today the company announced the styling tool will be available to everyone in the US starting tomorrow,

The device, which is 20 percent smaller and 30 percent lighter than its predecessor, has been used only by stylists for one year.
