This was the first formal meeting between Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta met Prime Minister Narendra Modi after she took charge of the top post, marking BJP's return to the national capital after a 27 year gap.

Since Rekha Gupta took charge as the Chief Minister of Delhi, congratulations and greetings have poured in from various quarters. A large number of people gathered outside her residence to greet her as she stepped into her new role.

Rekha Gupta, the newly elected Chief Minister Designate of Delhi from the BJP, marked her journey to the swearing-in ceremony at the Ramlila Maidan with a spirited public rally. In her statement, she emphasized a new era for women in politics and addressed the issue of corruption in governance.

Just two days later of being sworn-in as Delhi Chief Minister, Rekha Gupta met Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his residence in the national capital on Saturday. Both of them had met during the oath-taking ceremony at Ramlila Maidan on February 20 too while the PM attended the event along with Union Home Minister Amit Shah and various other NDA leaders.
