A long-awaited upgrade to the Breezewood interchange is moving forward, as the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission has named Alfred Benesch and Company as the lead designer for the project. The redesign will create a direct connection between the Pennsylvania Turnpike (I-70/76) and Interstate 70 while expanding the roadway to six lanes between mileposts 160 and 163.
