Jimmy Carter, the United States' 39th president, turned 100, becoming the first head of state to reach that age. In celebration of the special day, Barack Obama hopped on social media to give Jimmy his flowers.

Former president Barack Obama also shared a video to X in honor of Carter's birthday. "Jimmy, thank you for your friendship, your example, and for always finding new ways to remind us that we are all created in God's image. Happy birthday," Obama said.

Nobel laureate Jimmy Carter, who has lived longer than any U.S. president in history, celebrates his 100th birthday on Tuesday. Carter, a Democrat, served a single term as president from January 1977 to January 1981.
