Always an excellent day out, friendly helpful staff. Great exhibition space and museums. Love the cricket set you can use up on the big green area by flag pole. Great cafe and pool to watch the eels. Full review by Stay38422421505

A really great experience for me and my wife. Will bring more family back up next time. Every New Zealander must visit at some point. Full review by Adventure10208346020
How far do you need to walk, and is it easy foor peple with some mobility problems
A:
Quite a lot of walking but certainly friendly to people with disabilities. Lots of seats. Most important it is worth the effort: a world class historical site in a beautiful place
Can you still walk around the grounds for free without going to the museum or doing the tours or seeing a traditional welcome and dance? I have done all before and just want to stroll the grounds.
A:
yes you can walk around at your leisure, but don't think you can get in for free??
