Can you drop someone off at the park from your car? If not what is shortest distance you can walk to get to the park? Do you carry a chair onto the island to sit for the folk festival or what is typical? My husband is limited in how much he can walk and stand, so I'm not sure if this is a good idea or not to go to the Folk Festival.

Yes, you can drop him off a very short distance from the entrance. There is a small parking lot on the north side of State St. east of the river. Parking is limited but he can wait for you at a small pavilion next to the parking lot. Most people carry in chairs or blankets to sit on. Sitting at the various stages is limited. Enjoy if you go.
