im wondering whether to book standing at the front or a rear dress circle seat as thats the only available seating now, is it a long way back from the stage or still easy to see?

There is some foul language but as Kenny Everett said its all done in the best possible taste. As previously mentioned book a seat message the staff explain your mother's age and I am sure they will try and get her a great seat. It is a very funny show and very professional. You could always leave if you think it becomes to unsuitable but I think your mum might just love it.
