The effort, academic rigour and love that has gone into preserving this history is clear as soon as soon as you walk through the entrance, one of the most interesting museums I can recall visiting. …Full review by gbaitken

Very interesting museum on re-creating the Viking ships. The placards were in Danish and in English. We were there in winter so there were no ship cruises offered, but the museum itself was still int…Full review by 434pennys

I believe it is open on Mondays in January but check first. There are other things to see in the town. It’s a half hour train ride from Copenhagen. The trains are brilliant! If you have a Copenhagen Card, the train and the Viking museum are already covered. Eat at the cafe near the Viking museum. The food is delicious and great value!
Is it possible to pay for tickets with a credit card, or is it cash only?
A:
Sorry for delay. yes you can pay by card. The only place we found in Scandinavia and the Baltics that didn't accept my visa debit card was Netto supermarket in Copenhagen

Hi - sorry about the slow reply, its probably too late in the year to be comfortably sailing there. But...since just about everyone in Denmark speaks English I would think that even if the 'official' language of the attraction was Danish that they would translate for you.
What time are the boat rides? There are 2 of us who would like to go Thursday, May 10, 2018.

There is no information about times on the website calendar or anywhere else in the website. I called your office and the person was also completely unable to give any information as to times. How can one plan a day if you have to wait until you get to the museum and then find out if enough people have signed up to know what time the sailings are.
