If you have some time on Cape May, the lighthouse would be a highlight of your trip. It costs 12 dollars to go up the lighthouse. The views from the top of the lighthouse are amazing and you can see …Full review by rafaelZ8421IJ

Climb is not for everybody, but for the people it is for won’t regret the climb (and the price of admission). Great view of the gorgeous Cape May and of the Atlantic Ocean.Full review by ryancodine

I am not 100% sure, since we visited during the late afternoon. I believe there is a gate to the entrance, that will be locked after a certain time. However, you should be able to take pictures …

I am not 100% sure, since we visited during the late afternoon. I believe there is a gate to the entrance, that will be locked after a certain time. However, you should be able to take pictures at night. There is a large "lot" almost like a park there, directly in front of the lighthouse.

I can tell you that September is a GREAT time of year to visit as it is still warm and most if not all businesses are open with many weekend festivals.
