The Yellow "DG" has cr80 forks, a 125cc engine, and Xr Mini Racer exhaust and other extras. The J.W.R.P. "Jeff Ward Racing Products" XR75 also has a XR Mini Racer exhaust and aluminum exhaust flange. Both are 1978 and both run great.
Bottom line, what's it take to put a CDI on my '78 XR 75?
WEBOnly the '73 - '76 (4-speed) XR75's have the different taper. The '92 & up XR/CRF80 uses a wider woodruff key and, as Chad pointed out above, there is a company who makes a stepped woodruff key. However, keep in mind, the woodruff key is only used to align the flywheel to the crankshaft and the taper is what holds the flywheel to the crankshaft.

WEBJun 14, 2016 · Awesome read. Back in 74 my Aunt and Grandmother took me to the local Honda dealer (a hardware store primarily). I sat on the Z50 and MR 50 while the bigger kids sat on the XR75. Next day I had an MR 50 delivered by the dealership for my birthday. Always thought the next bike would be the XR, but ended up going with a two stroke.

WEBOct 5, 2011 · The motor and suspension are stock. Looking into upgrading the suspension (kids never stop growing) I came across an '83 XR100 twin-shock being parted out. Ended up buying the frame, triples, forks and shocks. This winters project will be swapping the XR75 motor and other parts over to the XR100 frame.
